About Me

Todd CarothersI have over 20 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Business Development driving success with some of the largest enterprise, operator and channel partner customers including Acme Packet, Alcatel-Lucent, AT&T, Avaya, Black & Decker, BroadSoft, GENBAND, FT/Orange, KDDI, Metaswitch Networks, NEC, NTT, Prudential, Rogers, Telefonica, Toys R Us and Vodafone.  I am currently the Executive Vice President of Marketing and Products at CounterPath overseeing Product Marketing, Product Management and Marketing Communications initiatives, from cradle to grave of all products and services.  I am focused on developing and executing the product, go-to-market and selling strategies of the company’s industry leading desktop and mobile softphones and end-to-end whole product solutions that drive Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC), Fixed Mobile Substitution (FMS) and Over-the-Top (OTT) services for enterprises, operators and channel partners across the world. During my tenure at CounterPath I brought to market several key new products that have created new revenue streams for the company, including the Bria mobile and tablet applications.  Prior to CounterPath I served as the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at BridgePort Networks.  As part of the original management team, I focused on bringing to market industry recognized end-to-end whole product solutions that helped drive Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) and Fixed Mobile Substitution (FMS) for pre-IMS and IMS operators.  Under my leadership the company released the SoftMOBILE and MobileSTICK solutions that enabled secure mobile communications across the PC desktop.

Prior to BridgePort Networks, I was Vice President of Business Development at Malibu Networks. With extensive experience in software and fixed broadband access, I brought a focus on brokering relationships that fostered product solutions and market development opportunities for Malibu Networks.

Before joining Malibu Networks. I served as Vice President of Marketing at Adaptive Broadband (formerly California Microwave), now Axxcelera Broadband Wireless. During my tenure, I oversaw Product Management, Product Marketing, Marketing Communications, and Inside Sales. While at Adaptive Broadband I successfully launched AB-Access, the world’s first 5GHz point-to-multipoint broadband wireless access system (the technology is known today as WiMAX). The system is currently marketed by Moseley and being used today to connect users to the Internet at unprecedented speeds.

Prior to joining Adaptive Broadband, I held various Sales and Marketing management positions at Sciforma Corporation (formerly Scitor), a leading developer of Project Management and Process Management software. Today Fortune 1000 companies use the tools for optimizing business productivity and effectiveness.

I hold a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from California State University, Chico with a minor in Computer Technology.
